Join us as Dr. Marion Desmarchelier, DVM, DACVB, IPSAV, DES, MSc, DACZM, DECZM explains that understanding the origin and pathophysiology of separation anxiety in dogs is very useful to help our patients and their often-distressed owners to better manage this disease. We will discuss the differential diagnoses of separation anxiety to refine our final diagnosis and avoid common errors. Treatment of separation anxiety involves behaviour modification, environmental adjustments and in some cases, medication. Many options are available and should be carefully selected for each patient. Finally we will discuss the impact of the pandemic on dogs and potentially associated behavioural issues. Our presentation is pending approval for CE. Attendees (who participate for one hour) will receive an email communication to document the CE credit for all associations that grant approval (5-7 business days after the event). This presentation is a LIVE event and will NOT BE RECORDED for future CE accreditation or post-webinar viewing. Program: -Presentation [1 hour] -Q&A Period [30 min]
